Our Future Plans
Transforming Education, Together
At Streetlight Schools, we are on an exciting journey toward reshaping education and preparing our learners for meaningful futures. Our vision is ambitious, and we're thrilled to share our exciting plans for the coming years.
Ambitious Academic Goals
By 2025, we are on track to achieve transformative outcomes. We project that 90% of our students will earn a Bachelor’s pass—nearly double the national average of 45%—with a 100% matric pass rate. Our first matric cohort will graduate at the end of 2027.
Expanding Our Reach
To support our growth, we will expand our student body from 35 learners to 75 in 2025 with the opening of our new Parktown site. This expansion will allow us to provide even more students with the resources and support they need for academic and personal success. By 2026/27, we plan to grow to 125 students, creating a vibrant and thriving learning community.
Graduating Future Leaders
Over the next five years, we aim to graduate three cohorts of matriculants, each with a consistent 95% pass rate and 90% earning Bachelor’s passes. We also plan for 100% of our students to secure post-school opportunities, supported by our dedicated educators who embody our educational values and model.
A Hub of Learning and Impact
Streetlight Schools will be a dynamic center of learning, where our successes can be replicated to inspire positive change across South Africa and beyond. While we aim to open additional sites, our primary goal is to establish our school as a model for what can be achieved with a government-level investment in education, yielding impressive results.
Supporting the Education Sector
In addition to growing our own school, we are committed to supporting teachers and schools across the country. We are determined to scale this model and ensure that high-quality education reaches even more students, helping to address the country's educational challenges
As we continue on our path toward transforming education, we are excited to partner with families and communities in creating a brighter future for our learners.
