Nosisa Dube
PRINCIPAL
Nosisa Dube is an education leader committed to transforming learning experiences. As the school leader at Streetlight Schools, she champions blended learning, data-driven instruction, and student self-efficacy. She has worked with Play Africa on interactive learning and GIBS in leadership development. Nosisa holds a BA in Applied Psychology for Professional Contexts, a Postgraduate Certificate in Education, and a Postgraduate qualification in the Psychology of Education, providing deep insight into student growth. Currently leading Streetlight Schools through a key transition, she is dedicated to building a sustainable, student-centered learning environment where scholars thrive.

Brian Ngoveni
TEACHER
Brian Ngoveni is an experienced educator, STEM Specialist, and Project-Based Learning Lead at Streetlight Schools, where he teaches Science and Technology. A former Deputy Principal at Jeppe Park Primary, his journey began as a Harambee intern, and with Streetlight Schools’ support, he completed his PGCE in 2017 and trained as a teacher coach. Brian empowers educators with the skills to drive engaging and impactful learning experiences that prepare students for the future.

Sibulele Mgwadleni is a newly trained teacher passionate about inspiring young minds. At 25, she is honored to join the Streetlight Schools community. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education and is dedicated to fostering creativity, critical thinking, and scholar-centered learning. Committed to academic excellence, she strives to help scholars reach their full potential and develop a lifelong love for learning.

Thembelihle Dube
TEACHER
Thembelihle Dube is a passionate teacher dedicated to fostering both academic success and emotional growth in her scholars. She holds a Degree in Social Work from UJ and a Bachelor of Education from UNISA. She currently teaches IsiZulu and Life Orientation. As a netball facilitator, she helps scholars develop teamwork, discipline, and a love for sport. Deeply aligned with Streetlight Schools’ emphasis on social-emotional well-being, she is committed to guiding scholars toward excellence in an ever-evolving, technology-driven world.

Nonhlanhla Goqo
TEACHER
Miss Nonhlanhla Pretty Goqo has been a proud member of Streetlight Schools since 2018. She began as an intern through Sparrow FET College and has since served with exceptional commitment. A UNISA languages major, she sees teaching as her calling—an opportunity to inspire and empower young minds.
Deeply invested in her scholars' academic, emotional, and personal growth, Miss Goqo values strong relationships and holistic development. Watching her students set goals and achieve them fuels her dedication. Passionate about unlocking potential, she ensures her scholars are equipped for both academic success and a future of opportunity.

Vanessa Makhetha is an Intern Mathematics and Physics Specialist Teacher at Streetlight Schools through the Realema Teacher Intern Program. She is dedicated to making Mathematics and Science accessible and enjoyable, delivering engaging instruction that empowers learners to build a strong foundation in STEM.
Passionate about problem-solving, critical thinking, and innovation, Vanessa strives to be a catalyst for change in STEM education, inspiring a love for learning and shaping a brighter future for generations to come.

Samkelo Andile Mbatha

Samkelo Mbatha is a Specialist Accounting and Economics Teacher who aligns with Streetlight Schools' mission of equipping students with essential skills for life beyond high school. A proud North-West University graduate, he holds a Bachelor of Education in Senior Phase and FET. A natural planner, he approaches challenges with determination and integrity, prioritizing clear communication and a peaceful environment. Committed to fostering a love for learning, he prepares scholars for success in both academics and the real world.
